The Daily Mail – Just like Grace Jones, Kanye West’s model girlfriend Amber Rose is fast gaining fame for her stunning figure and shaven head.

As the rapper’s launches his new blog KanyeWest.com, he decided to celebrate his new internet venture by showing off the former stripper’s shapely figure.

In the risqué shot – an out-take from Rose’s Complex magazine shoot last year – the part Italian, part Cape Verdean model recreates Jones’s iconic 1978 pose of her holding a microphone while nearly naked.

The original Jones photo was taken by her former partner Jean-Paul Goude and was published in New York magazine in 1978.

Jones loved the image so much she used it on the front cover of her 1985 compilation album Island Life.
Last year, Rose, 27, recreated a series of Jones album covers for American magazine Complex.
Amazingly, the microphone pose never made the publication

De Telegraaf – AMSTERDAM – Peaches Geldof heeft sexy foto’s van zichzelf als Frans dienstmeisje op haar Twitterpagina gezet.

Met haar rokje omhoog getrokken om haar kousen te laten zien, haar getuite lippen en blonde verleidelijke haar zou je denken dat Peaches deze foto eigenlijk voor een liefje bedoeld had.

In plaatst daarvan deelde de dochter van zanger Bob Geldof de foto met haar 78.000 volgers op Twitter. Peaches noemt zich een ‘gothic French maid’, zo valt onder de foto te lezen.

Vorige week verscheen het model in dezelfde outfit in Mexico City tijdens het jubileum van het Nylon Mexico Magazine.

Taliban blown up by own bombs

The Sun – TALIBAN killers have blown themselves up laying booby-trap bombs, we can reveal.
Up to 20 are thought to have died planting Improvised Explosive Devices.

They were racing to plant the IEDs before the Allied offensive Operation Moshtarak. The triggers on the IEDs have become so sensitive the terrorists are accidentally detonating them as they hide them.

Last night a highly-placed source said: “The Taliban know only too well how effective the IED has proved to be.

“It is designed to take out our lads at even the slightest touch but this has backfired on Taliban blown up by the sophistication of their bombs.

“We have evidence a significant number of Taliban have been killed in this way.

“The IED does not discriminate. It wreaks carnage.”

Hong Kong vernoemt filmprijs naar Nederlander

De Telegraaf – HONG KONG – Het Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) vernoemt een nieuwe prijs naar de vorig jaar overleden Nederlandse filmproducent Wouter Barendrecht. Dat meldde het entertainmentblad Variety donderdag op zijn website.

De prijs, waar een bedrag van zo’n 6500 dollar aan is verbonden, wordt jaarlijks vergeven aan een jong talent dat deelneemt aan het HAF. De Barendrecht-award wordt eind maart voor het eerst uitgereikt in Hong Kong. De Nederlandse producent was medeoprichter van het HAF.

Barendrecht overleed begin april op 43-jarige leeftijd. De Nederlander was een bekend gezicht op de internationale filmmarkt. In 1991 was hij medeoprichter van het productie- en distributiebedrijf Fortissimo Films. Het bedrijf coproduceerde succesvolle arthousefilms als In the Mood for Love van Wong Kar-wai, Mysterious Skin van Gregg Araki en Ober van Alex van Warmerdam.

In mei droeg het Filmfestival van Cannes de competitie op aan Barendrecht.
